Brightline/Virgin Trains Construction to Orlando Continues Despite Pandemic

Let's hope Virgin Rail can continue to stay on schedule for the 2022 completion of the Orlando Airport route.

Also, I have noticed a slowdown on toll road projects in the Tampa Bay area. The sooner Virgin Rail gets Orlando completed, startup of construction to Tampa is imperative along the I-4 media next. FDOT needs to have their feet held to the fire for committing this right-of-way to a high-speed rail route without exception.

Having too many unfinished toll roads all at the same time runs a great financial risk for the state. This is likely going to happen this year's Super Bowl as well. Tallahassee will be looking for ways to steal money from rail and transit projects to expensively fast-track toll road projects after this corona virus crisis is under control. We need to be on our guard for this.
