13 May 2010 4:40 PM | Jackson McQuigg (Administrator)

A tractor-trailer blocking a highway grade crossing has resulted in a passenger train crash and derailment in North Carolina.

Local coverage on this emerging story can be found in this story in the Greensboro (NC) News and Record

Incidents like this one are reminders why rail passengers and the industry alike should continue their support of the Operation Lifesaver program, which seeks to educate drivers about grade crossing safety.

More information on Operation Lifesaver can be found on the web at www.oli.org.
