Yesterday, Joseph Boardman was questioned by a C-Span host concerning Amtrak.  Nothing was mentioned of Florida service of any type, but the matter indirectly came up when someone called in from Atlanta with a question about new routes from there to Chicago and/or the Midwest.  He stated that there are no plans on the horizon for anything beyond what we have.   Here is a link to the 30' program.

    Kind of confirms what Don Phillips has been saying in Trains magazine-- that Amtrak isn't exactly being, shall we say, ambitious?
