The Rail Passenger Association of California and Nevada (RAILPAC) and SMART, the Sunset Revitalization and Marketing Team, like FCRP, are actively promoting the return of Amtrak service from New Orleans to Florida.

Check out the latest at the following link on RAILPAC's website: http://www.railpac.org/2009/06/11/sunset-limited-marketing-meeting

Please continue to remind your local, state and federal elected officials of the importance of this train to Florida.

If you have already contacted them on this issue, please do so again!

Has the Sunset Limited become a dead issue? Why do we only read of what is happening on the East Coast of Florida.  Anna Brandt

Given John Micaa's adamant opposition to the restoration of the Sunset or a connecting service, I believe it is a dead issue.  SMART disbanded at their last meeting, NARP is of no help, and  FCRP seems to have dropped the issue pretty much as well.
